Hello Friends! On Monday, Frank and Dennis left for Missouri and tonight they will arrive.They have had quite the adventure together visiting national parks and historical landmarks along the way. The van has done fantastic pulling the trailer! Jacklyn and the boys are in Arizona and looking forward to meeting up with Frank when he flies in tomorrow!

Through the last few weeks of intense preparation for our move, we have seen the love of Christ poured over our family in huge ways. We would like to extend a great big thank you to all of you who have been praying for our family during this transition time. “Thank you” barely seems sufficient to express the gratitude in our hearts – but thank you! Your prayers and practical support mean the world to us!

Our verse to pray through this time is:

Philippians 1:9-11

And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

As we seek to honor the Lord and finish well through our last month here in Spokane, we are continuing to request you spend some time praying through some of Paul's prayers for our family.

Ephesians 3:14-19 ESV

For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

As we wrap up our time here in Spokane, we feel the need for your prayers more than ever.  The stress of making it all happen and the emotions of “it’s actually happening” may threaten to overwhelm us.  But God is good and we are excited about what He has for us in the future months and years.

Sometimes it can be so easy to pray situationally. Prayer requests sound like, pray we can do this. Or pray that will happen. But the Apostle Paul’s prayers are a big challenge and encouragement to us in the deeper prayers we ought to be praying and the prayer requests we must not forget.

So, will you pray for our family as Paul did for the churches he served?  Over the next few weeks, we are going to share some of Paul’s prayers and we would be honored if you would spend the time praying through these passages for our family! We'll start in Ephesians.

Ephesians 1:15-19 (ESV)

"For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might"
